Top 10 Tuesday is hosted by the lovely people at The Broke and the Bookish. This week’s topic is the 10 Bookish Resolutions for 2016.
I have my top 5 resolutions for reading and another 5 for blogging!
Blogging Goals
1. Post regularly – at least 2 to 3 times a week. When I first started this blog in 2015, life and school got in the a lot, and some months I only ended up posting once! I only started posting more regularly in November, and I have been loving it, so I want to keep it up!
2. Schedule posts ahead of time – this will help me with posting regularly! Often times, I don’t have time to blog during the week, so scheduling will help me get ahead on posts and not have to worry about writing them during a busy week.
3. Comment and interact more with the bookish community – I started being more active on Twitter and Instagram this December, and it has been on of the most rewarding experiences ever! I have met so many wonderful people. I want to keep it up and spread the blogging love with Nori’s Commenting 365 Days Challenge!
4. Host a giveaway – I want to give back to the book community (and spread the word about my favorite books), so I want to host a giveaway sometime during 2016!
5. Keep up with my Bookstagram account – I love taking and editing pictures, and books are always so gorgeous! I want to be more consistent and do more creative photoshoots for my Bookstagram. You can follow me here!
Reading Goals
1. Reach my Goodreads goal of 100 books – I set my goal for 52 books last year, but ended up reading 94! I think I can make it to 100 this year.
2. Complete all my reading challenges for 2016 – This is my first year doing reading challenges, and I want to diversify my reading. For my reading challenges post, click here!
3. Read my list of 16 books I need to read in 2016 – These are books on my TBR shame pile. Need to get to them as soon as possible! My list is here.
4. Do more buddy reads – I am currently doing a buddy read for The Raven Boys and it is going really well! Buddy reads help me get through books I may not be as inclined to read/picked up before and didn’t like at first. It’s always enjoyable to be able to discuss a book with someone else!
5. Possibly re-read Harry Potter – I love this series like most other people do, but I haven’t read them in a while. I really want to relive the magic of Harry Potter, so I want to try a re-read this year!
What are some of your 2016 resolutions? Link them in the comments below!
Good luck with completing all your goals in 2016!

Love your list! Way to go on the 100 books goal on goodreads. I’m aiming for 52 books this year. Harry Potter is on my possible reread list. And I love the idea of a 16 must read in 2016. I have several books that come to mind.
Thanks for sharing!

I share so many of these resolutions! I’ve never tried a buddy read but it does sound like a fun way to have a more communal feel when reading so I may have to try it out. And I definitely recommend rereading HP. I read the series at least once a year, still just as in love with the story as I was when it was first released. Good luck with all your goals!

Awesome! I hope we both reach our resolutions. Buddy reads are the best, too. It’s impressive that you reread HP each year; I’m a very bad rereader so I would probably fail at that

I don’t think I could survive as a blogger without scheduling posts ahead of time. Once you get the hang of it, it is a lifesaver!

I want to try to reread Harry Potter too, but I have a feeling I’m only going to get to Philosopher’s Stone as I’m planning on getting the illustrated one. I’m jealous of everyone who has the time/willpower to read 100 books a year. Teach me your ways!

Oh I really, really want the illustrated version! It’s gorgeous, but I just don’t have the money or the excuse to buy yet another copy of Harry Potter. Haha, this is my first year attempting the 100 books, so we’ll see if I make it! Thanks for commenting 🙂 I’ll check out your post!

Great Resolutions! I also need to start scheduling my post before hand too. Sometimes I forgot, and have to rush to get them done! 😐
Good Luck with everything!

I’m actually hoping to finish my reread of Harry Potter as well; I’m on Goblet of Fire. And wow, 100 books! I’m aiming for a bit smaller than that at 75. Either way, good luck :).

I’ve been scheduling my post over my winter break, and it’s been a lot nicer than rushing to write posts! Thank you 🙂

Good choice with the rereading Harry Potter resolution. I did that at the end of 2014 and I fell in love with the series all over again. Have you heard about HarryXmastoYou? It’s a group read-a-watch-a-long-a-thon (their word, I couldn’t have come up with that) for Harry Potter for the whole month of December in which everyone reads at least one book or watches at least one movie. There are plenty of people who read all 7 books, though.

That’s great to hear! Yes, I’ve heard of HarryXmastoYou. I wanted to participate this year, but this are always hectic around the holiday season, so I never get much reading done. I hope that by giving myself a year to read the books, I’ll be able to find some time (especially during the summer).
